Andrea is the founder of Not for Profit Accounting Specialists and has been the driving force behind its success and longevity since commencement in 1999. She is a chartered accountant with many years of experience in advising and providing a range of services to not for profit organisations from around Australia. Her areas of specialty include leadership matters, consulting and project work, organisational management, accounting, auditing and organisational governance. She is passionate about the not for profit sector and its effective functioning, and is an active contributor to the broader conversation regarding the future of the sector and its place within the Australian community.
David holds an MBA qualification from Deakin University, a Bachelor of Business, Management Information Systems from the University of South Australia and he has also completed the Company Directors Course with the AICD. Prior to joining Not for Profit Accounting Specialists in September 2016 he held a number of senior leadership roles with Elders Financial Planning, National Australia Bank, and Westpac. He is passionate about the not for profit sector and the important role that it plays within the community and actively serves on the board of Girl Guides South Australia and previously as Vice President, Muscular Dystrophy South Australia.
Prior to joining the NFPAS team in 2017, Ellie originally came from a public practice accounting background and was then employed, for more than nine years, with Variety the Children’s Charity in the role of Finance & Administration Manager. She was responsible for the key areas of payroll, accounting & reconciliations, the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, IT management, developing policies, the grant & acquittal management process, FBT & GST/BAS compliance and also asset & office management. She holds a Bachelor of Economics degree through Adelaide University and CPA qualification.
Nadelle joined Not for Profit Accounting Specialists in 2017. She is an experienced accountant with CPA qualification. Her professional career has been exclusively in the not for profit sector in both full time and part time capacities both in Australia and internationally. Since 1997, Nadelle had held a variety of roles from Assistant Accountant to Assistant CFO /Manager of Finance and Administration. Her areas of specialty include all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping, not for profit sector technical knowledge, systems management, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, policy and procedure development, asset management, as well as general and personnel management.
Human Resources Consultant
Robynne has extensive HR and IR experience gained over 20 years working at senior levels in the commercial, professional services, health, and not for profit sectors. Robynne has developed and implemented contemporary policy frameworks as well as advising on policies, procedures and structures that support continuous improvement processes. She has successfully managed staff remuneration reviews on behalf of clients, including sourcing of market remuneration data, and many complex industrial relations matters including representing employers in the Fair Work Commission and Industrial Relations and Workers’ Compensation Tribunals, mediation and conciliation meetings.
Marketing and Communications Consultant
Georgina has had an interesting and extremely varied work experience background which includes previous employment roles in the medical, educational, child care, retail and hospitality sectors. She joined the NFPAS team in early 2017 in the important Marketing & Communications Officer role and to further develop her skills in these areas is currently studying a university degree in journalism and marketing. She is particularly interested in social media marketing and brings a unique blend of administrative, creative marketing and communication skills to the practice.
Clare completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at the University of Adelaide, and attained her Chartered Accounting qualification in 2012. From 2009 until 2017 she worked in business advisory practices, progressing through to Assistant Manager level. Her areas of expertise include all aspects of accounting, reporting, detailed modelling, budgeting and cash flow work, insolvency, and employment obligations and entitlements.
Business Services Manager
Niki oversees the accounting and bookkeeping division of the practice and is a chartered accountant with many years of experience. She worked in public practice for BDO for more than nine years and progressed up to Manager level, overseeing staff and providing services and advice to a varied portfolio of clients. Her areas of specialty include all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping, reporting, not for profit sector technical knowledge, taxation, budgeting, accounting software packages and general organisational advice. She is a valuable and skilled contributor to the services on offer to our not for profit clients.
Business Services Manager
Felicia is an experienced professional who completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Flinders University before attaining her full chartered accountant qualification in 1997. She worked in the roles of Finance Manager and Project Accountant for Calvary Healthcare Adelaide during an extended period of employment, and has been engaged with The Jodi Lee Foundation in a Management Accountant position. Felicia has completed the AICD Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors course and is an active Board Member for Community GP. She has extensive experience in the areas of accounting, reporting, forecasting and budgeting, payroll, internal controls, policy and process development, organisation performance management and Not-for-Profits.
Kim is an experienced chartered accountant who has worked extensively in professional practice as an advisor to clients from a variety of different sectors. To broaden her skill base and to enjoy some travel, she relocated to London for a period of time and worked as a financial accountant in fashion retail, publishing and online marketing. After returning to Australia she moved into Company & Financial Accountant roles at Distinctive Homes and then Jarvis Cars. She has been a valuable part of the Not for Profit Accounting Specialists team for a number of years now and provides accounting services and financial advice to a portfolio of not for profit clients.
Rajib is a CPA by qualification and also currently pursuing his further qualifications with Chartered Accountants ANZ and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK. Prior to joining NFPAS he gained many years’ experience in a senior accountant and finance role in a large and leading company in Australian food and beverage industry. His areas of expertise include all aspects of accounting, financial reporting and finance management at multi-million dollar levels in a complex business structure, budgeting, taxation, development of policies and procedures, managing organisational KPIs and providing strategic advice for financial wellbeing and growth.
Autumn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Flinders University and attained her Chartered Accounting qualification in 2007. Prior to joining NFPAS, Autumn built a 15-year career in public practice in Adelaide where she developed high level accounting and relationship management skills, progressing to Business Services Manager. Autumn has brought project and consultancy skills that enable her to undertake similar assignments with NFPAS clients. Concurrent with her professional career, Autumn also has demonstrated a strong not for profit background and has served on the board of No Strings Attached, a performing arts organisation providing opportunities for performers living with a disability, for the past few years.
Heidi gained her Bachelor of Accounting degree through the University of South Australia in 2016 and she also holds an Advanced Diploma in Accounting qualification. She is an experienced bookkeeper and prior to joining the NFPAS team in 2017 she was employed for eight years with Re-Engage Youth Services Inc / Career Partners Plus Inc as a finance officer, where she was responsible for accounts payable & receivable, payroll, bookkeeping and reconciliations, BAS/GST and monthly reporting. She has used MYOB extensively and has a wealth of general accounting, bookkeeping and administrative experience to draw upon in her work with clients.
Salina is a highly valued member of the audit team and has worked for Not for Profit Accounting Specialists since July 2014. She is fluent in both the English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) languages and holds a Master of Accounting qualification from Flinders University. Prior to joining the practice she worked in a professional accounting environment in Hong Kong and she also worked for Moore Stephens, after permanently relocating to Australia. She is experienced in the areas of bookkeeping and payroll and has developed strong skills in not for profit organisation audit work.
Lisa holds an Advanced Diploma of Accounting qualification and is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of South Australia. She has been employed within a professional accounting practice environment for many years and is very familiar with the key functions of payroll processing, transaction entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, BAS/GST and end-of-month reconciliations and reporting. She is an experienced user of accounting packages such as Xero, MYOB and Reckon and is an important member of the Not for Profit Accounting Specialists bookkeeping and accounting team.
Celeste has a Diploma of Accounting qualification and has worked in bookkeeping roles for many years. Whilst in the Northern Territory she had opportunity to work with a number of smaller not for profit organisations and she has built up a strong level of sector knowledge. She is experienced in all aspects of the bookkeeping and payroll functions including transaction processing, payroll processing, accounting package expertise (Xero and MYOB), reconciliation work, the preparation of reports, and the completion of compliance tasks. She is extremely efficient and thorough in her approach and provides ongoing bookkeeping services to a group of our not for profit clients.
Julie has a strong background in bookkeeping and administration work and is very thorough in approach. Prior to joining Not for Profit Accounting Specialists in 2016, she held the role of Financial Controller for a carpet and upholstery cleaning business. She has also worked as an Office Manager and PA for a local church, where as part of the role she took on the full range of accounting responsibilities. She has completed a Diploma of Accounting and is very experienced in the use of numerous accounting software packages. Julie provides reliable and efficient service to not for profit clients, in the areas of bookkeeping, payroll and compliance-related work.
Imee plays an important role in the internal administration of the practice and she works very closely with the General Manager and the Managing Director. She obtained her CPA qualification in the Philippines in 2009 and prior to working for Not for Profit Accounting Specialists was employed in various commercial banking and accounting roles. She has developed a high level of skill in the specialised areas of bookkeeping, payroll work, accounting reconciliations, audit and budgeting. She has been a major contributor to the efficient operations of the practice and is a valued member of the team.
Kirsty is an experienced bookkeeper with extensive payroll and month-end accounting background gained in a number of large and SME commercial organisations. Over the course of her career, she has held roles including Senior Finance Administrator in which she was responsible for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly reporting; and Payroll Manager during which she was responsible for end-to-end payroll for 600 employees as well as travelling nationally to train site administrators on the use of enterprise-wide payroll software. Kirsty is also skilled in the interpretation of enterprise agreements and their implications on the payroll process.
Assurance Services Manager
Ian gained his accounting qualifications in South Africa and also worked in professional practice whilst in Durban, specialising in audit. Starting as a clerk, he quickly rose to the position of junior partner and successfully operated at that level for three years. In April 2015 he immigrated to Australia with his partner and joined Not for Profit Accounting Specialists soon after. In his current role, Ian is responsible for managing the audit team and for coordinating ongoing services to a portfolio of not for profit clients. He has been a strong contributor to the growth of the audit division within the practice.
Registered Company Auditor
Nick is a highly experienced Certified Practising Accountant and Registered Company Auditor with a professional career spanning more than three decades. Starting as a graduate with KMG Hungerfords (later KPMG Peat Marwick) in 1986, he joined McFarlanes Chartered Accountants in 1990 where he was an Audit and Taxation Manager, leaving in August 1993 to establish NRM Johnson. Nick has extensive auditing expertise, providing consultancy and registered company audit services to a range of NFPAS’ public company and charitable clients since 2005. Since that time, Nick has developed a detailed understanding of the requirements of reporting entities in the not for profit sector and brings that experience to each engagement.
Danielle completed her Bachelor of Commerce through the University of South Australia, and attained her Chartered Accounting qualification in 2017. Prior to joining NFPAS in 2018, Danielle held Senior Auditor and Financial Accountant roles in public practice (BDO Australia) and commercial organisations over the past five years, gaining international audit experience in the UK in 2016, as well as developing experience in administration management. Technically skilled, with a strong not for profit ethos forged through many years of volunteering work, Danielle brings a professional, accurate and friendly approach to audit engagements.
Client Services Manager
Sue is a longstanding and integral part of the Not for Profit Accounting Specialist team and works on the frontline of the practice, in an administration role and also as an assistant to the Managing Director. She is very experienced in all aspects of office management and her work history includes 14 years spent with Edwards Marshall in a variety of roles, progressing through to Manager, Secretarial Services. She has also been hands-on and instrumental in growing and developing the Virtual Office and Secretariat services that the practice offers to not for profit organisations from around Australia.
Client Services Manager
Matt brings an interesting and varied mix of skills to the Not for Profit Accounting Specialists team and has been with the practice since December 2014. He is an Information Technology specialist, a topic he has lectured in at University level. He is also an experienced school educator, a qualified flight instructor and he was employed in a banking role with ANZ Bank for three years. In addition to overseeing the IT, property management and administration functions of the practice, he works with not for profit organisations in the areas of website development, banking matters, board support and secretariat services.
Client Services Administrator
Leah joined the Not for Profit Accounting Specialists team in 2017 as an Office Administrator. Leah is an adaptable all-rounder who provides a high level of administrative support to the Executive Services Team. She has recently completed a Diploma in Business Administration and is highly skilled in all areas of office administration. Leah enjoys deploying an efficient and methodical approach to her work and effectively communicates to develop positive relationships with clients and co-workers. Prior to joining NFPAS, Leah provided administrative support and held secretarial roles in a variety of industries including health, manufacturing, and hospitality.
