The Google Impact Challenge is donating $500,000 to 4 nfp organisations to make a positive change in the community. After receiving hundreds of entries, ten have been selected as finalists and people are being asked to vote for their favourite to determine the winners. Finalists include a program to fund a low-cost mobile camera to detect and prevent blindness, an online educational development program for disadvantaged students, and an online game to inspire young Indigenous students to learn maths and science.
