National Economic and Social Impact Survey 2014

The Salvation Army has released the results of their National Economic and Social Impact Survey for 2014. The results have been collated from 2,500 surveys of Salvation Army welfare clients nationwide. The survey reveals that many clients are struggling to afford basic necessities and 1 in 4 are unable to afford a substantial meal at least once a day. The Salvation Army has expressed concern in the light of the federal budget, particularly in relation to the $7 Medicare co-contribution fee.
