Jobville.com.au is a new job-listing website that lists non-profit and community sector jobs for free. Founder Brett de Hoedt sees the site as a bit of a gift to the non-profit and community sector – and a test.
“Australia’s non-profit sector in spends tens of millions a year for online recruitment advertising. That’s money the sector could use more efficiently. Now they have a choice between fee or free. Will they change their habits? We’ll see.”
Since its soft launch in February more than 100 advertisers ranging from toy libraries to local governments and household-name charities, have jumped on board.
Jobville.com.au lists jobs across sectors and states, including internships, volunteer and board positions. So how will this make money? Via government employers and recruiters which will have to pay to advertise from September 1.
The site however will always offer non-profit and community-sector employers the ability to list jobs at no cost.
