Giving Habits of Australian States Suggests $4.2Bn will be Donated in 2018

Recent research shows the average Australian household will donate an average of $336 annually to charity, equating to $4.2 billion per year.

There is notable variation amongst states with the highest average donation being $383 from New South Wales, and the lowest average coming from South Australia at $227.

Other states averaged the following; Western Australia $351, Victoria $342, Tasmania $329 and Queensland $311.
